From now, a new domestic carrier is going to grab its position in the list of the private airlines of India. This is to add new destinations in the connectivity map of India.
Zoom Air is a full-service private-scheduled airline, which has started its commercial operations on 15th February, connecting the Delhi-Kolkata-Durgapur-Delhi sector through a 50-seater CRJ-200LR Jet. However, the inaugural flight of the airline took off on 12th February, 2017.
The new airline service is meant for connecting metro airports of India with Tier II and Tier III cities that were lesser connected through air network. As per the Koustav M Dhar, CEO & Director of Zoom Air, the airline is introduced to provide a convenient accessibility in North, Central, East and North-East India.
Zoom Air is the first airline to connect Durgapur city of West Bengal with multiple direct flights to Kolkata, New Delhi and Mumbai on daily basis with finest services on-board. The airline is also planning to launch its direct daily flights between Shillong and Kolkata and then other major cities like Mumbai and New Delhi.
