Cycling is indeed good for health, be it you or the place you are living in. So if you love cycling, Poland has thought about giving you a good surprise.
Unveiled recently by Poland has been the glow-in-the-dark bike lane near the Lidzbark Warminski. The initiative was taken to make bike paths safe and easily accessible even in the darker hours of the day.
This unique concept is inspired by Studio Roosegaarde's Starry Night bike lane in the Netherlands. Though the use of the technology is completely different from the Dutch as they have used LEDs whereas this one is entirely dependent on the use of solar power.
The lane is created using Phosphor which gets directly charged by the sunlight and can glow up to 10 hours in the dark.
This luminous biking strip was created by TPA Instytut Badań Technicznych Sp. z o.o., that needs only one time charging by the sun for getting illuminated throughout the day.
The pathway is still in its test phase before of it proving to be a success. Interesting, Isn't it?
