The much awaited Rajdhani Express which connects Agartala with New Delhi is launched by the Union Minister of State for Railways this making the Agartala Railway Station the third North Eastern capital city to be connected with Delhi.

This express train will run between Agartala and Delhi’s Anand Vihar and it will cover a distance of 2,413 km in around 40 hours. It will run on Mondays from Agartala and Wednesdays from Anand Vihar. It will stop at 16 stations in Tripura, Bihar, Assam, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
