There is this City of Live Mermaids where all your fantasies can turn into reality. The name of this beautiful city of Florida is Weeki Wachee, which is actually a theme park. The place has attracted thousands of hard shoulder visitors and aspiring mermaids from all across the globe.
Spread over an area of 538-acres, Weeki Wachee is home to the deepest naturally emerged spring of North America. The place was first opened in 1947. It is best recognized for its wonderful live Mermaid Shows, in which “half-fish & half-human” entertainers carry out awesome performances. These shows are executed in an underwater theater, which is built 20 feet underneath the surface of the spring.
Watching the mermaids flipping underwater is a mesmerizing experience. There are two types of shows daily, in which, mermaids performs with other mariners like turtles, fish and irregularly alligators. This theme park is located an hour’s drive away from Tampa. You have to follow the snaking road through the small town. So, take the fun of these beautiful live shows of mermaids while enjoying the water slides, a lazy river and white sandy beaches.
The park is open all through the year from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
