Good news to Ghaziabad people as Hindon Air Force Station which is jointly owned by Airports Authority of India and Indian Ai Force now has a civil enclave from where the citizens can board flights to 8 destinations across the country. Delhiites and NCR people now got the 2nd airport and it is happy news to the people who often take flights to cities Kalburgi, Hubli, Pithoragarh, Kannur, Nashik, Faizabad, Jamnagar and Shimla. So, all you people now you don’t need to stand in long queues at IGI Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport).
The services are started under the UDAN Scheme which is launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and under this scheme the government has waved off the taxes on fuels and other airport charges providing the citizens of India much more financial assistance as the name suggests Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik and making the air journeys cheaper.
Hindon Air Force Station is quite accessible as it is just 30 kilometers away from New Delhi and is spread over an area of 55square kilometers and it is one of the largest air bases in Asia operated under the Western Air Command. However, currently only 4 airlines will be flying from this airport including IndiGo, Ghodawat Airlines and Heritage Aviation and Turbo Aviation.
Hindon Air Force is constructed with a whopping amount of 40 crores and its setting is done in a manner so that it can handle 90 cars and 300 passengers. This airport is having 8 check-in counters, four frisking booths and two arrival carousels. Moreover, the airport has already inaugurated and the services will start from May 15 of year 2019.
