Humsafar Train List

Operated by Indian Railways, Humsafar Express Trains, also known as Humsafar trains are a premium category train with upgraded facilities for AC-3 Tier and Sleeper Class passengers and are deployed on long-distance routes. With improved comfort and modern amenities, these trains provide enhanced comfort to travellers and hence their ticket fares are generally high as compared to regular AC trains.

The first Humsafar Express train service was inaugurated on 16th of December, 2016 between Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh and Anand Vihar Terminal, New Delhi with a view to offer an upgraded travel experience for long-distance travellers. With advanced loco-hauled coaches, improved interiors, and enhanced security features, Humsafar trains represented Indian Railways commitment in modernizing and strengthening the railway infrastructure in India.

Humsafar trains operate on select routes and high-demand long-distance travel corridors. Its network is spread across metropolitan cities, business hubs, and pilgrimage destinations, offering a seamless travel experience for millions of travellers. Some of the well-known Humsafar Express routes include:

• Agartala - Bangalore
• Ahmedabad - Chennai
• New Delhi - Gorakhpur
• New Delhi - Praygraj
• Kolkata - Tirupati

Humsafar trains boast state-of-the-art facilities to enhance the passenger experience. Some of the standout features include individual mobile/laptop charging points, night lamps, curtains and bedding kids, fire and smoke detection alarms, bio toilets and more.

Fares for Humsafar Express trains are slightly higher than standard AC 3-Tier trains, as they offer premium facilities and services as compared to other long distance trains. The fare varies as per the train type, class of travel (Sleeper or AC), and distance covered and you can check the same separately for different trains.
