Louvre Abu Dhabi is considered as the emirates one of the finest creations. These art pieces are chosen on the basis of historical importance, condition, provenance and the storyline that captures a long history.  A committee having expert members from Dubai and France choose individual pieces that will e placed in the museum.

Louvre is considered a Universal Museum in the Arab World. The museum focuses on bringing together different cultures to sparkle on common stories of humanity, places, times or civilizations with French design and Arabic heritage. The galleries are set in a chronological order with the purpose of developing curiosity and learning.

The Building

The architect of Louvre Abu Dhabi is Jean Nouvel. Located on Saadiyat Island, Louvre is surrounded by water, and you can visit Louvre either by land or sea.  The centerpiece is a huge dome that has a weight of 7500 tonnes. This complex geometric structure is made up of 7850 stars made of different sizes and spread over 8 layers. Also called a rain of light as when the sun passes through it, creates a mesmerizing effect that will make you go wow.
