When you purchase a ticket between March 4 and March 31, 2020, Air Canada will allow you to make a one-time change to your flight without incurring a change fee up to 2 hours before your departing flight. You can also cancel your booking and credit what you paid against future travel. In both cases any fare difference will apply, any residual value resulting from a lower fare will be lost and all travel must be completed by December 31, 2020.

Terms and Cnditions.
- Tickets must be purchased directly from Air Canada or through your travel agent between March 4 and March 31, 2020 and travel must be completed by December 31, 2020.
- Air Canada tickets can be identified by a 13-digit ticket number beginning with Air Canada’s code “014”. Tickets issued by other airlines with a different carrier code (ticket numbers not beginning with “014”) are subject to the waiver policy of the other airline.
- A single change may be made without incurring a change fee provided it is completed at least 2 hours before the original departure date.
- Any fare difference will apply and any residual value resulting from a lower fare will be lost.
Flights to/from Europe
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus, Air Canada has further adjusted its Atlantic
schedule resulting in the temporary suspension of certain routes and the delay of the
start-up of some seasonal services between Canada and Europe.
Flights from Toronto will be suspended to Copenhagen (March 17 to April 30), Dubai
(March 29 to April 24) and Madrid (March 18 to May 1). Other seasonal routes from
Toronto and Montreal will begin operating for summer 2020 later than previously
planned, including to Athens (now commencing April 9) and to Barcelona (now
commencing May 1). Toronto-Budapest will now commence May 2.
These changes are in addition to the previously announced temporary suspensions of
flights to Italy and Israel.
Due to the significant volume of changes on Europe, please note the following:
- Flights which have been temporarily suspended – we may not have been able to
accommodate customers to their final destination; customers have been re-
protected via FRA/MUC/BRU/ZRH/VIE/LHR, without OAL space.
- Flights with reduced frequency – customers will be re-protected to their final
destination either on same day (for example YYZCDG, could be on YYZ-YUL-
CDG), or day prior / day after (for example, YYZLIS may be protected +1/-1
day).
