The BEST WAY to start your visit to Zurich!

We had an amazing tour of historic Zurich with Alexander. He resides in this district and shared so much interesting information about the history, culture, and government of Switzerland as well as many interesting anecdotes of important people who have lived here. Our walking tour took us through old town, the university area and along the river. It was fun to see all the young students, residents of the city and fellow tourists and learn more about life in Zurich. The two hours flew by and we learned so much! Alexander is a great listener as well and customized the tour when possible to match our interests. He made excellent suggestions of restaurants, things to do and places to visit during our stay. It was a perfect introduction to Zurich and Switzerland and we highly recommend the Historic Tour of Zurich with Alexander. Thank you SO much Alexander!

Awesome first afternoon in Zürich

Very informative tour, our guide Alexander was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour. He showed us very interesting places that we would not have found on our own. He made us have a very nice first afternoon in Zürich.

Excellent walking tour

What a great way to spend a spring afternoon in Zurich. We learnt so much about the history of the old town, the original use of the many beautiful buildings and also about the lives of the old city inhabitants. Our tour included a cable car ride up to the university where we learnt about the many learned famous former students. Alexandro was a fountain of information and happy to take questions from the group. We found him a very knowledgeable guide and a charming warm person. He was generous with his time also.. We would highly recommend this tour - we now know so much more about the history of this wonderful city.

Old town Zurich tour

We spent a great two hours with Alex on our tour of Zurich. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared spots that we never would have found on our own. Lots of insider information and local recommendations that we appreciated. If you would like to have a quick tour of the old town, this is perfect.

We ended up having a private tour, which was awesome. Alex extremely knowledgeable about Zurich and took us to areas we would otherwise not have ventured. Definitely worth the money. I learned a lot and really enjoyed the adventure!

Best introduction to Zurich

We absolutely loved that our guide was local to the area, it made the tour more personal. Our guide had great knowledge of the history of the old and new town and it was very clear she was passionate about it. We loved the additional insight into places that would not have been recognised if not on tour / able to be accessed and enjoyed that the tour concluded by reiterating where we had been. Our guide was welcoming and friendly! Would recommend.

Great intro to Zurich's history

I had a great time with Maria and learned a lot from her on Zurich's history. She was kind, informative, and were able to answer my questions. I was lucky to have the tour just by myself and it was well-paced. We went to different buildings with historical value and Zurich's underbelly.

Great tour of old Zurich!

My wife and I had a private tour for ourselves and it was great! Perfect way to introduce yourself to old Zürich with its culture. Lots of hidden gems in this historic city. This is also a great way to orient yourself around before venturing out on your own.

Excellent Tour for Inquiring Minds

Tour was excellent. Maria was personable and shared many things about Zurich. We had a great time. One of my favorite stops was the Sausage shop, no longer making meat but required to keep original building colors and elements to preserve its history.

Intimate tour with a friend

Marie was very personable and engaging. She made an effort to connect with each person on the tour and it it was like taking a walk with a friend by the time we concluded. She discussed history, local culture, foods, and events. We got to see art and ruins not accessible to the public which was a real treat. Will definitely recommend her to friends and will be i. Touch when bringing friends for a visit.

Nice quick tour.

Nice overview or Old Town and it's history. Gave us access to areas which we would not have seen if we simply did a self tour. Did involve walking up and down some steep walkways. Even so, I would recommend it.

Fantastic tour

We only had one day in Zurich as we had connecting trains so we wanted to do something in a few hours. This tour started not far from the rail station so was ideal for us and in 5 minutes walking. The tour was excellent and we got to hear so much about Zurich. Marie was an excellent host and showed us some very neat places with so many details. Enjoyed it so much, many thanks.

A wonderful way to get acquainted with Zurich

Maria was a lovely tour guide through this beautiful city - we were caught in a real downpour and she was able to modify our tour on the fly and show me really interesting indoor places to give us a bit of shelter. Truly a great way to learn about Zurich!

We enjoyed the tour even with the rain, we had umbrellas and rain coats. Recommend an umbrella even if it doesn’t call for rain. You never know and it’s best to be prepared. Our guide lives locally in Zurich and showed us her favorite spots and taught us along the way. We enjoyed it and recommend it.

Amazing time in Old City

Maria was amazing! We enjoyed the history and sites of the old city. Really liked all the details Maria have as she explained how and why things came to be. A good amount of walking— but worth it! This tour was at 6:00pm, and perfect. The crowds were lower and the weather was nice.

Great small group experience with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. This was a great general overview of Zurich and Swiss history. We quickly covered a lot of ground in Old Town, including a few sites that would not have been accessible without a guide.

Great chance to get a very personal tour of Zurich

I was traveling for business with a coworker and we decided to take the red eye from the states and then stay up as long as possible after we landed in order to adjust for the work week. We decided to book this walking tour to keep us moving and learn more about Zurich- and we were so glad we did! Maria was an excellent host...telling us about the history of the area with some unique stops we would have never found on our own AND she also shared what her experience living there is like. We left the tour feeling like we really got a sense for Zurich (and ...BONUS...we were re-energized). I highly recommend the tour and Maria's company. When booking, the reviews were strong and I now know why. My only hesitation was the low number of reviews to date so do these folks a favor...book your tour and leave a review!

Don’t waste your money! There are great tours - pick a different one!

Meeting location very difficult to find with Google Maps - There was no answer when we tried to call for help & NO REFUND PROVIDED when we requested one. We searched and searched for our tour guide, but everyone around us indicated that there had been no group that had met there. We were very disappointed with tour operator. Trip Advisor refused to issue a refund without ever having spoken with us.

Hidden gems fantastic walking tour, very enjoyable

Had the pleasure of this walking tour a few days ago at 6pm with Maria. I really enjoyed it, she's very lovely to talk to and ask questions and she's very knowledgeable. It lasted about 90 mins, I actually wished it was longer as I enjoyed it so much. It just felt so natural. Saw extra things on this tour as opposed to another walking tour I did of the old town and this one had some little hidden gems, and with Maria being so nice, I am so pleased I booked it! Definitely recommend, A+!!

Good short introduction to historic Zurich

Maria was very knowledgeable about the history of Zürich. Taking a tour with a guide is much better than self guided because she was able to let us in to places that we would not have been able to see on our own. This tour was a nice introduction to Zurich for us as first time visitors.

Had the pleasure of going on this trip yesterday at 6pm and I really enjoyed it, I actually wish it was longer (was about 90 mins). Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide and things pointed out that didn't see on previous tours, this one covers little gems. Would recommend to all, really enjoyed it.
