Good way to see Singapore

The bus was a great way to get an overview of the different areas of Singapore. The only complaint was that the audio kept cutting out and was hard to hear with the wind when the bus was moving.

Disappointing tour

Very disappointing bus tour. Audio wasn't very good, the commentary could hardly be heard and the ear buds provided cut in and out. It lacked information or the directions of what the commentary was talking about. For the cost, it was not value for money. The initial bus stop near the Intercontinental was hard to locate and not marked with a sign. This bus tour was not a great way to learn more about the city or get around. I wouldn't waste my time or money in the future.

Easy and convenient

Love being able to hop on and off through out the city. Both lines covers most of the tourist attractions you'll want to see so it saves on taxis. The app also shows where the buses are so you're not in the dark on when they're coming.

Disappointed

Couldn’t hear the microphone. Drivers were rude. One close the door and drove off when we were just 2 feet away. Would not recommend the service in Singapore

Worth the money.

Enjoyed being able to get off and on. The night tour was amazing. The thing that could be improved is putting the number of the bus stop on their map on the bus signs on the road.

Good to try

Second time we have done this. We found the roads to be a lot busier and roads disrupted by the many building sites across the city. Therefore trip slow and jerky. Seats could do with an upgrade as well as not that comfortable. Second day was better as public holiday so less traffic. If possible book a public holiday or weekend for less traffic. Worth doing to get your bearings and see most of Singapore Take water and hat with you as not all seats covered.

Great way to see the sights

Loads of pick up points and good organisation when sorting changing lines at the central hub. Personally, we much preferred the Yellow Line. All buses very clean and tidy with pleasant staff throughout.

Good way to see everything and decide where you want to spend time. We did both the red and yellow line.

Singapore bus

Locating bus stops extremely confusing. Since we purchased the tickets online and boarded the bus at a stop there was no directions regarding what stops were pick up points. Other tourists also experienced same problems. Stops should be easily identified by a sticker or sign clearly stating hop on hop off bus. Once on, the tour was fine.

A waste of money.

Very poor. To fast, not enough information. Hard to hear. In fact I didn't get much information at all from it. The audio was terrible. Some drivers didn't even announce which stop we were at. To much music and not enough content. Would not recommend.

Ended badly

For the most part, it was good. But we had an unpleasant experience. Attempting to get our night tour. The bus we wanted to take to our night tour pick up drove right past us. Ensuring we would not make it in time. The next driver was not only rude but downright mean.

Great experience

Such an incredible way to see the city. All drivers were courteous and thankfully spoke English. Would strongly encourage this trip

Cool

It was a good experience overall. I would do it again. I am glad I was able to save via this platform versus using paying the higher rate at the counter. I was able to save $15 USD.

A must do on your first day.

It was very easy to find the starting hub. The person who greeted me was very polite and informative. There were 2 routes. One was for the historic landmarks and the other for the modern landmarks. Both routes were able to complete in the one day. Buses were very frequent almost every 15 minutes. I would recommend that if it is your first day of your visit to the city to do the tour as it gives you a great insight and a base to build upon.

My Hop On Hop Off Experience

It was a great experience for myself and family. All key places covered with Courteous Bus Staff and facilities are very good in the Bus. Frequency of the Buses was also very good to ensure we don't lost time. We covered both the Red and Yellow Lines in approx 8 Hrs Time Comfortably.

Easy way to cover ground and make sure you see everything

Good value for money. we got a 2 day ticket which allowed us to cover both the red and the yellow routes. A wide range of drop off points which should suit most tastes.

Hop on Hop off Singapore

A convenient way to see Singapore. We are only here for a few days so it was a great way to see lots of the main sights .Loved learning more about Singapore through the audio . Only suggestion is to have signage on display to indicate where bus will pick up from ; for example in Chinatown there are 3 stops , we got off at stop 11 and weren’t sure where stop 12 and 13 would be when we walked through the area and had to back track to stop 11 as we knew where this was.If a sign was displayed on street indicating where stop is would have saved us backtracking and walking time .

Red Line tour was lacking

Red line tour had little audio information as we travelled through Singapore. The bus was overcrowded, where a number of people took two seats , refused to make room for paid riders! The driver was short when asked for headsets. Save your money and take the Singapore by Duck tour instead!

Fair Ride

Good tour, use the app to get accurate bus arrival to station. Audio is good, wish more details are given. Good for first day to introduce you to the city. Very organized. Very useful when raining

But of a disappointment

Is the best big bus tour we have done. The drive started driving before he had scan our tickets and a few times they drove off before we were sat down even though there are sign saying don’t stand while the bus is moving. At lot of the stop are at shopping centre which isn’t our thing. Probably would do Singapore on the metro if we came again

Do Not Use

Very poor experience, incorrect information provided, charged incorrectly, charged for services that are free. Use anyone but these people.

Great view with aircon

Perfect ride to see all the sights to venture on your journey ! Easy to access all the bus stops and plenty of information given.

Super Singapore

Great value - two routes to hop on/off. Takes you all over the city to the landmarks and cultural areas. Fabulous views and informative audio. If you go on the top deck, sit under the canvas roof area as it is so hot.

Terrible audio guide. Would not recommend.

Many headsets for the tour upstairs were not working. Bus driver loved pulling up hard despite a packed bus in the rain. A slightly more gentle approach to driving would have been appreciated. When I finally found a headset unit that worked on the top deck the tour narration was nothing but non stop, shameless Singapore Government propaganda. 'The Singaporean Government has invested heavily in infrastructure....' etc... Very little history, just silly trivia such as the average walking speed of a Singaporean and again more government promotion mixed with elevator music. Very disappointing given the countries rich history. Wouldn't recommend especially given the high cost for a small family. Many others have made these same complaints especially re broken headphones yet as of April 24 no effort has been made to rectify this. A refund would be appreciated.

A great way introduction to Singapore

Reliable service. Good pre recorded commentary. Some vehicles have partially covered upper deck seating which is welcome when the sun is shining! Would have liked to see more crossover points between the two routes and as you understandably cannot stand when the vehicle is moving, vehicles pausing at stops for photographs to be taken if staying on board would be welcomed

Not worth

Avoid Not worthy.. Miss leaning 24hrs service Service starts 9:30 and finishes 17:20 it’s a joke. Use public service bus 12 and 14

Nice overview

Great way to get an overview of singapore. Turned out to start at a convenient and close mall. Proximity to inside walking and good food options was great. Some of the audio cut out from time to time, but was informative when working. Never really hoped off, so can’t comment on frequency of buses. Never encountered stops where people could not board due to overbooking. Sometimes every seat was taken. But not uncomfortable

Easy to Access bus anywhere on route

Once you booked your ticket on the Viator app you could then get on at any of the stops and just show the QR code to the driver. U did not need to go to the main hop on hop off terminal. Good tour of city especially when you don’t have much time.

Hot but amazing

Our least favourite big bus city tour

Unfortunately this was the least favourite big bus tour we have ever been on (due to lack of history in alot of the city - (but that's just our opinion) Also - we bought a 48 hour / 2 day & night ticket thinking we could use the bus in the evenings to get around but we were not aware that it was a set time / structured bus & walk tour & this made us late for dinner reservation, as we couldn't get off when we needed to

Avoid avoid, avoid

0 out of 5. Use the local bus instead for a fraction of the price. These guys promise everything. Deliver nothing. Customer service is appalling. Web site misrepresents the actual service. Fixed start time, fixed start location. Nothing hop-on, hop-off exists in this service. Take your money, fail to communicate other than some automated chat bot.

Avoid

These guys are the worst! Their cancellation policy is super unclear. It doesn't say if you can get your money back, but when you try to cancel, they just tell you how to use it for another date. And when you point out that their policy doesn't say that, they just ignore you.

Great way of getting around Singapore but a word of warning for cruise passengers - you can’t hop on at the cruise terminal unless you’ve purchased the ticket through the cruise company so it’s a 20 minute walk to the nearest stop that will allow you to.

This was a great way to see so much of Singapore and to get to know your way around. Use this bus to decide on the attractions you really want to do. It is safe and convenient, and the drivers are nice.

Good but pick up difficult to find.

The tour was interesting and enjoyable but the main pick up point with ticket sales was very difficult to find and we met other people with the same problem.

Ok overall

The bus needs a live guide! It’s a glorified bus, the audio was more music than talking and for the price, you’re better getting public transport. The stops were in good places and the bus was frequent. I would consider doing this again.

Rude driver

Singapore red line drive and driver was good .we did yellow line also finished 2nd day we enjoyed the ride then we bhai to go to Marina sands at observation deck so we asked gentle man which bus will get me to Marina sands he was polite take 56 will take you to marina sands .So asked the driver can you please let me know when we get to marina sands he didn’t respond so we went to sit but as we are new to Singapore we didn’t want pass the stop so as you can see the building was not sure right stop. We stood near the door we asked again oriental old driver kept quiet after one stop he opened the door so I asked is this the station he showed his hand to get out with very rude manner it was about 1.30 time on 8th March.We gave 5 stars but this incident was very disappointing for Singapore.

Singapore by bus

What a great way to see around Singapore, having 2 different routes to take was fantastic. We started at 10 am and took the whole day it was great so we could pick spots that we wanted to go the next few days.

The Pits

I did the yellow line in the morning which was fine although I couldn’t get the air phones to work. But the driver did tell us where we were at each stop Sadly the red line was the pits in the afternoon. I gave up on the air phones. Unless following the map closely you didn’t know where you were. Twice the driver didn’t stop to pick up passengers! I wanted to get off at stop 12 so asked the driver if he could let me know when we were there. He rolled his eyes and drove off before I could get back to my seat. He did stop at the stop and announced it on the speaker so it was working! I took a photo of the bus which will hopefully attach in case the company would like to follow up. Taken at 2.23 pm yesterday

A good overview of the city

Although this was a good opportunity to get a basic overview of the city, it was not a good way to actually experience the sites. The recorded information was hard to hear and the bus was hot. The driver was always in a big hurry to move on. The Viator tickets systems worked fine for us but it was frustrating to not have our tickets until 3 days before our tour, meaning we had to find a printer while traveling.

Beautiful City

Relaxing while viewing a beautiful city. The staff was informative and very helpful is assisting me and my fellow traveler boarding and exiting the bus.

Wasted time and money

We had to queue about half an hour to exchange our digital Viator tickets for physical tickets. Then queued at least another half hour to get on the bus. Some buses had a partial roof covering but ours didn't and it was way too hot to sit on the top of the bus without a shelter, so we sat inside where the view wasn't so good. We took the Yellow route to get to the Botanical Gardens - the journey was pretty boring. We got a bus with a shelter for the remainder of the route from the Botanical Gardens back to the start so we sat on the top of the bus, but there was so much traffic noise it was hard to hear the recording.

One way to see some of the sights

Probably okay if you stay on the bus and do the two circuits, one after the other but don’t expect buses to offer a regular service as they state they run 25-40 minutes but despite the buses being busy, they were more like 40-50 minutes. This meant we wasted a lot of time hanging around. Also the audio wasn’t always in sync with the location and didn’t offer a great deal of information- mostly irritating music. Wouldn’t really recommend the 48 hour ticket we bought as they don’t give you enough information/reliability.

One and Done

A busy system, apparently lacking enough buses to handle the number of folks interested. Upon boarding , our driver was a bit grouchy. We could only sit upstairs and in the sun it was very hot. Then we had a downpour. Luckily, we had umbrellas (hint, hint). The audio system was sketchy and it was clear that wait times at the various stops could be long, so we did the circuit and that was it.
