Prague Kayak Tour in City Center - 2 hours

Excellent tour, wonderful guide!

This was my second visit to Prague so I decided to take in the city from a different vantage point this time — and it did not disappoint! Vaclav, my kayaking tour guide, was simply outstanding. He was clear and prompt in our communications in the days leading up to the tour, punctual and ready with our kayaks and gear at the meeting spot, and knowledgable and friendly on the tour itself. Not only did Vaclav provide information about the sights but he prioritized safety at all times, ensuring I didn’t stray into the center of the river too much. We also chatted a bit about the history and economy of Czechia as well as his visit to my part of the world, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The trip itself was about 5 km in total, first downstream to the locks near Štavnice island, then back upstream to Charles bridge. We went under the 666-year old Charles bridge as well as remnants of an even older bridge. Then we crossed to the other bank and went up a canal known as Little Venice. This part of the trip was a bit more challenging, which I relished. At the end of the canal we saw the last (non-functional) water mill in Prague, before returning back to our starting spot. He was kind enough to take several photos of me on the water and sent them to me promptly after the tour finished. Being the off-season and 40 F / 5 C weather, I was the only customer, which was nice. I’m positive, though, that the experience would’ve been just as enjoyable with a few more people. Vaclav mentioned that they typically don’t take more than 4-6 people per guide, depending on the customers’ prior experience with kayaking. I highly recommend this tour, whether you’re a first-time or repeat visitor to Prague!

Unique and safe way to see Prague without crowds

We had a wonderful experience on the kayak trip through Prague. The guide was very knowledgeable about kayaking and the city history. Some of the best photos from our Prague trip were taken by our guide as we kayaked under the Charles Bridge. We stayed dry and the kayaks felt safe. This is a great way to see the city from a different perspective.

The Best Views and Pictures!

What an amazing tour! The views are spectacular. One of us had never Kayaked before. The guide was perfect! Taught us the basics for a bit then took us to so many beautiful places. You don't need to be an athlete to enjoy yourself! I would suggest this option for seeing the city to everyone!! The pictures are amazing.

Wholeheartedly recommend this kayak tour on the Vltava! The paddling is easy and the views of Prague's iconic landmarks are sublime. What a great way to escape the crowds and connect with the soul of the city on a whole different level. Especially enjoyed drifting through the narrow canals and residential areas of Little Venice. The personalized help from Frank with my last minute booking along with charming and knowledgeable tour guide Vaclav made for an unforgettable afternoon. Hope to book again if ever back in town!

Great fun, great guide, great views!

Could not be more thrilled with our trip and our guide, Frank. Everything was well organized and comfortable. Frank was helpful and engaged. We learned about the Vlatava and Prague from this unique perspective. We explored hidden places that we would not have seen otherwise. All while enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful views of Prague!

Fantastic day on the river

Kayaking the Vltava with Vaclav was our favorite experience in Prague. My 23 year old daughter and I were able to enjoy the city in a way most tourists don't experience. We learned a lot about Prague landmarks and Czech life, while enjoying a gorgeous (and very warm) day on the river. Vaclav was kind and patient and truly made our experience memorable. Highly recommend and would happily take this tour again on a return visit to Prague!

Great way to see the city

A great way to see the city, very relaxed and we found a lunch spot we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. Great for mixed ability - my experienced partner loved it, and Frank was a great teacher as it was first time!

Lovely Work Trip

We really enjoyed the kayak tour. We booked it for 4 members of our team as part of a work retreat to Prague. It was wonderful to see the city from the water and learn about the history of the buildings and city some more. It was exercise, but it felt relaxing and nice to have a break from the bustling city streets and get away from the crowds. The guide was really lovely :)

Great experience with wonderful guide

This was a fantastic experience! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the area. We saw major landmarks such as the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. We also kayaked through lesser-known sections of the river that were amazing and we never would have seen otherwise. Our guide also took so many great photos of us throughout the trip. I love having the pictures of us on the river to look back on! One of our favorite favorite experiences in Prague.

Best time ever!

Just completed the kayaking tour and had a fantastic time. Got to see the sights of Prague and an in depth knowledge of the city. It is a truly perfect way to experience the river and see the city would thoroughly urge anyone visiting to get their paddles and experience an intimate tour of the river.

Excellent trip

We had an extraordinary time with Jiri. He is a great guide and company. The trip did go a little bit longer but I consider this a big plus. I would always recommend.

Beautiful Viewpoint

Our guide was professional, efficient, helpful and full of fun historical facts about the beautiful city of Prague. We thoroughly enjoyed our time kayaking on the Vltava!

Great Experience

We had a really great experience with Frank...even though it was very windy. His knowledge of the river and city were great. Just do it :)

Prague by kayak

We had a nice trip checking out the sites from the river and inlets. Frank had to change the time, but worked with us to find something that worked for all. (We were booking the day before, so we were happy to get a reservation. ) We got lots of photos along the way and got to experience a unique perspective.

Incredible way to see the sites and get in to places you cant reach on foot!!

Frantisek runs the company and he communicated clearly and often. I booked my tour via email on their web site and installed the WhatsApp app for texting while traveling. Max was the guide and he is knowledgeable and kind. He took us into seldom seen areas that we could only access by water. Kayaking under the Charles Bridge was incredible. It was a 2 hr trip, not strenuous and incredibly enjoyable! They even provided small dry bags for our cell phones and bottles of water. The sit in kayaks are east to get in and out of. If you are visiting Prague, dont miss this unique opportunity!

Disappointing

Booked for 4 of us for the next day, recieved a confirmation email telling us the meeting point and time. We arrived at the meeting point, where there were no kayaks or any information. We rang the company to ask if we were in the right place, to which they said that our booking wasnt possible, and they had tried to contact us, however we had had no contact, no missed calls, no texts, no emails telling us this. They tried to rearrange however we had an itinery to stick to so we couldn't. Instead we went on a pedal boat which was really good fun.
