Never been in a balloon tour, it was great! The views were wonderful and the silence of the whole trip was unexpected.

Spectacular Experience

The hot air balloon ride over Segovia was the most breathtaking experience!! It is an absolute must. The views from above were spectacular, the crew was so friendly, efficient and we enjoyed them! I would highly recommend taking time to do this experience!!

Hot air balloon ride over Segovia

Early mornings are not my thing, but going on a hot air balloon ride made the early morning totally worth it. It was cold, sunny, and beautiful out, and the balloon crew worked efficiently to get set up and load us all into the basket. Segovia is a beautiful, picturesque town and from the air it truly is breathtaking. The balloon ride was so serene, and I didn’t want it to end. After a smooth landing we were served champagne and snacks and diplomas for our accomplishment! Wonderful friendly crew and if you are ever in Madrid make sure you do this tour!

Gorgeous Views!

The entire experience was amazing. From the shuttle ride to the entire balloon experience. The guide explained all the details on what we saw and really showed some amazing sites. Would highly recommend!!!

Bad hot air balloon ride exp.

Our driver that picked us up ran in the ditch w/the van when coming to get us from the hot air balloon ride. He called a tow truck, it took forever to get van out of ditch. At end of hot air balloon ride we were expected to help pack up the balloon. We paid a lot of money for this hot air balloon ride & should not have to help pack it up. Our driver had a hard time finding our hotel on the way back. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Amazing experience

The most memorable part was the scenery, just a beautiful place. I was very frightening to go up but after going up it was such a smooth ride up and down.

Scenic Views of Segovia!

Great experience and tour guides. Your day will begin with a pickup in the 5:00am (summer) or 6:00am (winter) hour from your pickup location in Madrid. We travelled in a van with 4 passengers total to Segovia (1h drive) with a restroom stop just before reaching the launch site. The flight was approx. 30 minutes which felt like enough time to be able to enjoy the views of Segovia and the surrounding area. We landed in a field not too far from the launch site where we then deflated the balloon and loaded up the trailer. Cristian is a great pilot who kept the group in a cheerful mood before, during and after the flight. Nacho was a great driver to/from Madrid and told a great story about the history of hot air balloons.

Awesome pilot and flight

Pilot was awesome and the view was out of this work. Spain in a hot air balloon is a must do. Pick up and drop off at Hotel a plus.

Amazing hot air balloon ride but non-existent city your

Firstly, the balloon ride is amazing - it's as cool as the pictures look, and was a magical sunrise experience. Kudos to the operators of the balloon ride portion, five stars to that. [recommendation: bring a warm shirt, because even in July 2022, it was very cold at sunrise]. However, we bought the 'Hot air balloon + guided city tour of Segovia". The city tour didn't exist. After the wonderful balloon ride, the tour operators told us they had no knowledge of a city tour, but offered to drop us at the edge of town if we wanted, and that we'd have to find our own way back to Madrid. We did this (and I would recommend anyone else also tours Segovia because it's a super neat town!), and had to take the train back to Madrid (at additional expense). We had a fantastic day, with the hot air balloon ride being a highlight of the whole trip, and Segovia being a super cool city to tour around. After our trip, I asked for a partial refund from Viator/TripAdvisor (equivalent to the additional cost of buying the 'balloon with city tour' vs just the 'balloon ride only'). Tripadvisor (Viator) did not acknowledge there was any problem, showing a picture from the tour operator that we were on the balloon ride (which was true!). The website didn't seem to understand that it was only the second part about "guided city tour" that was missing. I called TripAdvisor, and put in a formal request, but nothing. I ended up going through Visa to flag the partial charge, and after eight months, that case was closed unsuccessfully. In summary, we highly recommend to DO THE HOT AIR BALLOON - it's a great memory. But DO NOT book the extra city tour - it doesn't exist (as other comments have indicated too). @TripAdvisor @Viator, if you're reading this and want to make things right, you have my contact info in the chargeback case.

Balloon Great, Segovia Tour too quick

The hot air balloon itself was fantastic. Once we landed though there was a lot of wasted time that we could have had in the village. We ended up getting a quick tour (maybe an hour) of Segovia, and “free time” of 50 minutes which isn’t enough to see anything. We had to rush to the castle to take pictures outside of it, and try to grab a pastry to eat as it was 2pm without eating anything. I would certainly have paid more for an extended time in Segovia (say 2 hours) but the hot air balloon ride was amazing

What a wonderful day!

Hot air balloon was far more beautiful than expected! Thank you pilot David. We loved every moment and it has to be done by everyone at least once in a lifetime! Twice will be even better! :) Tour in Segovia just made us thinking to visit the city again as we learned a lot of things that worth a closer look! (Thank you Arian)

Great Ride & View - but no tour and no info on it

The balloon ride was truly an amazing experience. The scenery was beautiful, and our pilot was fantastic. Everyone working with the group was great, and I would definitely recommend this group. The only problem we had was that there was no guided tour of Segovia, and we were left on our own to tour and find a way back to Madrid, which wouldn't have been so bad had we not paid more for these options.

Not good experience or worth the price. Will not recommend to any of my family and friends ever.

I booked balloon ride and guided city tour with transfer from Madrid. I chose English language and took the ride with my husband and parents. It started well but then they dropped us at our home right after the ride. We tried to ask the driver about our city tour and he didn’t answer as he couldn’t speak English. Then we call the guy who was coordinating with us fro the ride and he mentioned that our booking got skipped due to reshuffling from previous week. They have refunded 80 euro for whole city tour for 4 people, 20 per person.

The best time!

This was one of the highlights of our trip, to be sure. Something we've always wanted to do but never make time for at home. The pilot and all of the crew were excellent and most professional. A few things to note and be prepared for: even in the middle of a heat wave, we somehow picked the one cold day. And it was even colder in the air, and there is a bit of waiting around, at both ends of the ride. So you definitely want long pants and a warm layer. Don't wear a skirt, you have to climb over the side of the basket. Bring a snack for if you get hungry before the breakfast at landing. We booked a train ticket back to Madrid (not expensive) so that we could have more time, as both the Alcazar and Cathedral should be explored, plus time for lunch, shopping, and climb up to the top of the aqueduct. We had a 3:45 ticket and it was perfect. There is also a bus option.

GO FOR IT ! Worth the money !!

Great experience. Our pilot david was exceptional. Definite must do. The only thing I would say is if you are looking to do the Segovia tour make sure you check on the dates because they do not do that city tour every day. I thought we were going to get the city tour and found out at the last minute that we were not, but the balloon ride made up for all of the disappointment. Definitely a highlight of our trip and one we talk about often

Great experience

The hot air balloon ride is great! Floating past Segovia with a very skillful pilot allows us close view of the city! Guide Ari is also very knowledgeable and shared great stories! It would have been better if the time given to explore the city was longer!

Surprised me!

Surprised me. I'm afraid of heights, but I face my fears and I had to ride a hot air balloon. I thought it was shaking, rubbing... but it was the most incredible ride I've ever done in my life, it practically doesn't move in the air, it's still, the flight is super smooth. I highly recommend it!

Jaume es genial!!!! Nos fue contando un poco de historia a lo largo del viaje, estuvo muy atento a su grupo, nos tomó fotos y videos durante el tour, y estuvo pendiente de las necesidades del grupo en todo momento, por ejemplo hizo una parada para tomar un café antes de llegar a la locación del globo ya que el tour comenzó con el recogido en el hotel a las 7am. Luego del viaje en el globo nos llevó a encontrarnos con Paula para tomar el tour guiado por la ciudad. Una experiencia super bonita y de mucho aprendizaje. Cuando vuelva a España lo contactaremos. Es un profesional y con un gran sentido del humor haciendo del viaje uno super agradable.
