Awesome shuttle from Rome to Civitavecchia: Civitavecchia to FCO

We used the shared shuttle to go from our hotel in Rome to the Cruise port in Civitavecchia and then from Civitavecchia to the Airport (FCO). The driver was professional and on time. We arrived at both locations ahead of schedule.

Easy

Always worry, “will they be there?” Driver was early, easy to find. Very seamless trip. I have had no worries with any of my transfers!

Will use again next time we cruise.

We did nit know what time the disembarkation would be, so we chose a later time. We were off the ship at 8:30am. We grabbed our luggage and went outside. To our surprise, the driver was there waiting. He took us to a Mercedes wagon, and brought directly to FCO. It was booked as a shared ride, but we were the only passengers. No up-charge, just great service.

Shared Shuttle is the way to go!

We used the SHARED SHUTTLE service 3 times in 10 days and were very pleased! We went from the airport to the city centre, from the city to the cruise port and from the cruise to the airport. Each time, the drivers arrived early and had a sign with our name on it so that we could find them easily. Their driving skills were excellent. I read some horror stories but we experienced none of that! We allowed extra time to others to be picked up and it wasn’t needed. The price was way better than private transfers and we didn’t need to navigate lugging our luggage through a train station. I have already recommended them to friends and would definitely book them again while in Rome.

First Class

First class service both to and from the port, on time, clean and met lovely people on our cruise too, absolutely faultless, couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Normally quite good but this time

They are usually very reliable, but we were at Pier 25 but the last shuttle this time. So we had to wait until they were finished at the Terminal Americo Vespucci before they could come over to Pier 25. We are used to getting a Text message and the day before an e-mail showing the driver's contact information. But we did not get anything this time. This time, Luca was driving us, who usually works in the back office. He explained that they had a new software, and the notification did not work. But no phone call? It was no fun to wait more than 30 minutes when outside was nearly 38°C/100F in the sun without air conditioning and if everyone was on the jump to get to the airport. I hope they will improve their service again. Otherwise, I need to find an alternative service.

Straightforward other than one issue

Only had to wait 20 minutes or so for the second family. Minibus was a bit tight for 8 but otherwise all worked fine. My only issue was that the driver (while driving at speed on the motorway) used his phone to text on four or five occasions (and more than a one letter/word reply). This may perhaps be legal in Italy but I personally don't think it's safe to text while you have a van of passengers.

Watch for this Bait and Switch scam!

Was quoted, in writing, €105.00 for transfer from Rome hotel to Civitavecchia for private transfer and if shared it would be €95.00. On arrival of the shuttle at the hotel, while the driver was loading the baggage into the van, got a call telling me that the price would now be €140 as they had some sort of emergency and had to contract another service. The emergency was a very typical “bait and switch” as at that point there was no way to seek any other means of transfer to our destination. Reluctantly we took the shuttle and paid the driver the €140 who was very nice and apologetic for the issue he had no control of. When I contacted the shuttle service regarding this issue I was very rudely told that they could have simply canceled the trip and we would have had to pay for taxi service, and any way it was only €35 more euros. To state poor customer service would be an understatement! Stay clear and beware. I am sure it was not the first time and will probably not be the last time. Book with a reputable company.

Driver was on time, waiting right outside the ship departure. The ride to the airport was quick and safe. The driver sensed everyone was tired and not very talkative so we had a lovely, peaceful ride.

Excellent Service

Used them for a transfer from the airport to the port and also from the port to hotel in Rome. Excellent drivers, nice vehicles, and fantastic communication from the company throughout. Nice bonus is the email the day before pick up with a picture of the driver to make him easier to find and know you are in the right car.

Professional and efficient Transfer Service

The entire process of booking our transfer with NCC Airport was easy and efficient. We elected to pay cash to the driver on the day as it saved on surcharge fees. The booking process online was very easy and received a prompt email with instructions. I liked that the day before the transfer we received an email with a picture of our driver and their name. This made life very easy looking for our transfer after getting off the cruise ship. Our driver Daniele was very polite and professional and promptly assisted us with our bags to our transfer van, which was very clean, cool and comfortable. We also made excellent conversation and most importantly got us to the Rome Airport ontime and in comfort. I would highly recommend this company.

Smooth Operation

The overall process was very easy and smooth. I got online and review the the web site, selected the mode of transportation and made the reservation. I got the e-mail reply back in no time and then I followed the e-mail instruction and sent back the confirmation (this step is important... to reply back to confirm). The day before my ship arrived to port, I got the e-mail from NCC Airport to provide me the driver's information, including a picture of the driver. When we got off the ship, the driver was already there waiting for us. We got on the shuttle and got to the hotel in no time. Very smooth operation! Great service and gave us peace of mind.

Our driver was waiting for us when we got off of the ship even though we were early. After waiting for the other parties sharing the ride we were taken to our hotel at the airport. Good driver with interesting reading material in his van.

Everything Went Perfectly!

Pickup went perfectly, and driver was very nice and courteous. Per Viator's information, our ride was right in front on the ship terminal, and was there before we were. He held a sign with my name and was easy to spot. Very nice Mercedes vehicle, and we happen to have been the only couple on the ride. Viator's price was substantially less than Princess's bus. Highly recommend if you want personal service.

We booked this service before our cruise. We had an early flight and we weren't sure how it was going to work, but Daniele was at the cruise port as we exited very early (while it was still dark in the morning). He had texted me that he would be there that morning a few minutes early. He held a placqard with our names on it. He helped me with my suitcase to his nice van. He also picked up 6 others at another cruise port in Civitavecchia, and we still had enough time to make our flight at 11:15 at Rome FCO, no problem. His driving was nice too. I wasn't worried like I am sometimes when we are taxied to a location. And the van had air conditioning. Very efficient and a good price.

The driver who transported my wife and I from the Pier to the airport in Rome made the trip feel safe and enjoyable. He also made sure we were completely satisfied while answering any questions we raised.

100 PERCENT GREAT SERVICE!!!

We used this shuttle last week from the Civitavecchia cruise port to Rome Airport. On disembarking we were met outside the cruise terminal by an extremely smartly dressed young man holding a Name Board up for us who escorted us to the mini van. This driver was excellent, safe and efficient. We arrived at the airport in plenty of time for our flight and can't speak highly enough of this great service.

we books a transfer from Rome port to the airport the information was late being emailed so we didn't get details and we also books the transfer believing it was in Australian Dollars, only to find out when we returned home it was in US dollars !! Not happy a 50 min trip cost us $ 170 when we could have got the same trip for $ 40 .Bloody rip off !!!

Trip from port to Rome

While the driver was very pleasant, we were surprised when we were told that our party of 5 would be sharing the van with another customer. We had to wait for that passenger at another ship, and then had to drop him off at the airport that added another 45 minutes to the trip. I did not see anywhere on the on-line reservation that we would be sharing the van. That was an unpleasant surprise.

Faultless

Wish we had booked this for our transfer from Rome to the port instead of the stressful train journey. We were able to select our pick up time from the port. Our flight was 12.15 and we chose 9.00 a. shared minibus for 70 euros. We received an emailT the day before with the name of our driver and we spotted him straight away. We sat in the front of the Mercedes minibus and had an excellent journey. Very helpful with our luggage too.

OMG transport

I was upset that I almost lost my money as a "no show". First, there was no company name on the shuttle bus to identify who was picking us up. They guy on the phone was rude because I had a hard time understanding him. I was told that the driver was leaving us at 8:30am cause our pick up time was at 8am. My voucher did not have a set time for us, there was options for 30min increments from 8a to 9:30. Very upsetting, the driver finally found us before leaving. At least, he was pleasant. Need better communication to customers on what to look for (name on signs, color of bus etc) for future reference.

Excellent service abd reliable

we used the services for NCC Airport ( they probably operate under several names but search NCC airport will render you best result). we used NCC for both from Rome city ( Spanish steps to Civittavecchia port/ Rome cruise port) and from the Port to FCO Rome airport. Easy to book and we got response within same day. Basically you request a date and time and how many pax ( shared shuttle price for 1 person or 2 people are the same) . Then you will receive a PDF voucher confirmation for time, and there is an web link that you need to click to confirm booking.(if you travel during busy seasons you need to make up your mind and book as soon as possible, we were lucky that we booked only three to four days before each trip but were able to get the ride) . What really outstanding was that NCC will send you an email a day prior with photo of driver and vehicle license plate. this is a huge relieve for identifying right vehicle and right companyin a foreign country. Luckily we had Luca as the same driver for both trips and we appreciated his professionalism in arriving early. we definitely will recommend this service for shared shuttle given private is about 160 Euro but we paid 70 each way(price may change over time or season so don't quote me on this). They will write you a receipt as required by Italian tax law.

Class Act!

What a great experience! We just returned from a fabulous cruise through the Mediterranean We used them 4 times while we were in Rome. Fiumicino to our Rome Hotel, Rome Hotel to the Port, Port back to Rome and Rome back to the airport. All the pickups were prompt, the drivers polite, the cars/vans were very clean and the best part was the evening before they email the name and a photo of the driver. The prices are fair especially if you use the shared ride to Civitavecchia. Highly recommend.

Great Service

NCC is a great way to transfer from the Port of Civitavecchia to the airport or, in our case, to a B&B in Fiumicino. We received an email prior to disembarking with the name and picture of our driver. Luca was there ahead of our scheduled meeting time and met us as we left the ship. We shared the ride with other cruisers. We booked in advance (their website was very easy to navigate) and paid by credit card upon arrival at the B&B. This was easy, convenient, efficient, and reasonable! Very happy with the service and would definitely use them again.

Absolutely a wonderful service. We used their service from our hotel to the port, then port to the airport. Both times, we received a confirmation text along with a picture of the driver. I have booked with NCC Airport a shared transfer from Civitavecchia port terminal to Fiumicino Airport based on both price and reviews. Everything went seamless. Booking was very easy and I got the confirmation right away with the price that either you can pay by credit card or cash to the driver. A night before I got another confirmation with the driver's name and photo, driver’s phone number, vehicle model (Mercedes Vito in my case), the plate number and emergency email address. The driver Luca was very punctual and courteous and picked us up exactly from the ship pier exit. The car was very clean and the drive was very smooth. He dropped us exactly at the Fiumicino Airport Terminal 1 where we had the flight. Thanks to Luca and NCC Airport for the outstanding service. One of the Best Airport Transfers

NCC was highly rated by Tripadvisor. We booked the shared transfer from Civitavecchia to the Hosianum Palace Hotel in the centre of Rome. Ricardo Amico, our driver, was there at the appointed time and it appeared that he had done his research as to where each couple was going. He was an excellent driver and brought us to the door of our hotel, which was not an easy task. The Hosianum Palace Hotel is located on a very narrow piazza hidden away from the main roads. Ricardo maneuvered the narrow lanes and helped us with luggage. I would highly recommend NCC Airport Transfers. NCC and Ricardo sent me a confirmation the night before giving us a picture of himself and a contact number. This really helped make our transfer stress free.
