On a clear day you can see forever

having done the KL Petronas Towers before we went for the KL Tower which was just as good, if not better as it has an outdoor observation deck. Not too busy or queues. Great views and you can see for miles.

Nice viewing tower

Very nice views from the outside top deck, much better than the lower indoor observation deck. They have a glass box you can take pics from for a small extra fee.

Ridiculous

Absolute worst experience ever, as you may know the KL sun is hot. That is no isseu… unless you have to sit directly facing it. For what was promised half an hour by the employee. Turned into more than an hour. For the ridiculous price of 85 euros for 4 persons (just as expensive as a well organised waterpark) this is ridiculous. No AC no food no drinks. Just the sun pointing at you while sitting against a wall for more than an hour. You are warned.

A must do while you are in Kuala lumpur

We really enjoyed our time up in the KL tower. There are timed slots for the 2 skyboxes to walk on the glass floors. Great views and lots of photo opportunities.

Enjoyed the KL View from KL Tower

Managed to visit the Sky Deck, Sky Box and also the Observation Deck at Menara Kuala Lumpur and really enjoyed the view of KL from the three areas. Definitely worth visiting if you want to enjoy the view of KL especially the night view.

Great views

Great view and a few places at the bottom to grab ice cream and souvenirs. Bit difficult to call a taxi when leaving, only thing to note.

Absolutely poor, not value for money

The coffee shop on the observation deck has closed down, you pay USD20 per person to have in essence an elevator ride. The skybox glass enclosure was changed from a free service to a paid for service, with a time limit

The KL tower was good but...

The KL tower was good but the way Viator advertised it was confusing. It was good to not have much crowd when we went.

Admire the city

Menara KL is a commumication tower. Was designed in a shape of a gasing. From here visitors can admire the whole city. Ticket required

KL Tower from cruise terminal

Excellent view’s of the city and the more popular Petronas tower. I’m don’t like hights so only to the observation deck not outside. If you are travelling into KL from the cruise terminal use their transport even though it’s going to be expensive, the traffic is horrendous you don’t want to miss ships departure.

Great views from the Observation Deck - well worth doing

We visited the KL Tower on a cruise ship excursion so the cost was included as part of our package. We didn't have much time here, approximately 25 minutes at the Observation deck, but it was enough time to take in the views in all directions, take photos and shoot some video footage. It would have been nice to have had more time to take in the sky deck and even eat at the revolving restaurant, but sadly this was not possible. The KL Tower is the 7th tallest tower in the world and although it's not as well known as the Petronas Twin Towers, the KL tower remains the highest viewpoint in Kuala Lumpur that is open to the public.

Bad organisation

Wasn’t able to redeem vouchers so had to buy 2 tickets at extra cost to myself. Wouldn’t use this particular site again

Disappointing

This is an iconic landmark but it's a disappointment! The view of KL is of course good but the deck smells of a toilet and the lift folk are a best tolerant of tourists. Easy access though with free shuttles and close to the metro.

Dissatisfied

Very dated, lack of direction, views great but I'm afraid far pasted it's sell by date..... note the top deck can close at a moment notice.... I booked with both viewing areas to be told the top viewing area was closed due to weather but was then reopened b4 I got to the lift

All to myself in the morning

I decided to do the KL observation deck instead of other options since the view from the deck includes the Petronas towers. This was my first stop in the morning and I had the deck to myself, so I didn't have to wait for views or pictures. Staff were very happy to show me around and point out what I was looking at, and even took great photos of me!

360 degree view of KL

Went to the observation deck as had a short time in KL and Petronas was more booked than I could wait for. The observation deck gave good views on a hazy day, would be great on a clearer day but was still good for the city views, not so much the highlands unfortunately. Cheaper than Petronas and 360 degree views so a good place to see over KL.

View affected by Haze!!

Unfortunately, the haze really affected our experience. Seeing other photos makes us jealous and yearn to come back again when haze is gone

Good views from observation deck, reasonable charges, no long queues, went there after being on top of burj khalifa but still liked the views from there

A must-visit attraction when in Kl. Far-reaching views over the city. Perfect for videos and pictures.

Ok but didn’t get full experience we paid for

Disappointed with how Kl tower is managed for tourists.

Was disappointing for us, we had a light shower of rain whilst walking to the tower, then ticket office advised the observation deck was closed due to rain. ( which we could understand) however we asked if it would reopen when/ if the rain stopped. We were told maybe but even if we paid to go up to the enclosed area we’d still have to pay full price again to go the observation deck. It would be more tourist friendly to allow the difference to be paid for the deck should it reopen. We couldn’t have gone on another day so we chose to just go up anyway, the view of the city was a good 360 perspective. We waiting for the darkness to see the city lights however the internal bright lights caused reflections on the windows so it couldn’t be enjoyed fully. When we went down to ground level we discovered the deck had in fact reopened! Seemed to be a bit more focused on getting double cash from tourists rather than allowing tourists to enjoy the tower fully.

Good view but a bit pricey

Good view of the city. Tickets are a bit expensive as you don’t really spend a lot of time there and the lighting makes it difficult to get any good photos. I recommend going late afternoon to see in daylight and as it gets dark to see the city lights.

A must do when in KL

This is one of the attractions you have to visit when in KL, outstanding views over the city and countryside

First destination before planing my schedule in KL

If you’re planing to visit KL for the first time I would recommend you to visit here and observe the city from above and have a look around and plan accordingly. Also keep in mind that this is one of top towers in the world 😍! I was surprised how high it was! But definitely worth the visit! Got my self a souvenir too!

KL Tower Skybox

This is a must see and do tour of KL, I truly enjoyed the time at the tower and beautiful views.....

Nice view but the sky box is not worth the wait

The view is fantastic but the queue to the sky box is really not worth the 1.5hours wait ! Get the simple ticket to get to the observation deck but do not buy the sky box unless you are ready to wait.

View of KL

Easy to access view and you get to see overall KL view. Not sure how does this fare with Petronas KLCC as we didnt manage to go there. Similar experience we had in Seoul Tower

Stunning View

Going to the top is very fascinating.The standard level is also great to be there and you can capture beautiful sky scrappers from the window. Enjoy your time out there.

Kl tower visit

A must visit place if you plan to visit Kuala Lumpur. Spectating views, and you will experience to see world 2nd tallest building in the world.

Average observation tower, but views were good to see

Good views of the city but dated observation platform. There were plenty of photo spots for group photos but not being managed by any of the staff. No queue when we arrived and was easy to get the attraction tickets from the voucher we purchased. I would say it was overpriced for what we saw/did there and how long we went there.

Menara great views

It was a great experience to see kuala lumpur from such a high point ! I enjoyed seeing the well known spots and sightseeing areas from the observation deck. The batu caves murugan statue was also seen through the binoculars.The observation deck is a closed area with air condition which is good to enjoy the views in a bearable weather. It well be a great step to take hop on hop off bus as a transportation to the Menara as they explain everything at the bus u will apply by seeing at the menara so it will help u to understand what u will feast ur eye on there! The menara is one of the hop on hop off stops.

Not much here

Way overpriced for what is on offer. Once on top a photo business tries to extract more money from you. IMHO one pic should be included in the enormous ticket price. There was construction the day we visited so we got a small discount. We were not impressed.

Disappointed with Tripadvisor

I cannot review this as we never received the ticket QR code and were therefore refused entry I have demanded a refund for these two tickets

Poor value for observation deck and sky boxes. Would not recommend.

Overpriced for a very poor quality experience. Views not that great, and ‘sky boxes’ not really in the best places for a good photo. Would not recommend the top price tickets (RM110) for the sky deck and sky boxes. Perhaps just the observation deck is better value but I’m not sure as cannot get ticket for both.

Very good

Make sure to go when the wheater is good. Fortunately, the queue wasn't long so we doesn't have to wait for long. A very good experience for my family. We loved it so much.. ❤️❤️ Recommended!!

Early and no crowds

The 360 view is outstanding. Nothing you can have at the Twin Towers. Take a coffee outside at an altitude of 300 meters, I know no other place you can do that. Go for Skyddeck, not only observation deck. We arived just after 9AM and it was almost empty. When we left there was a long que. Be there early.

Nice view up there

We reached here at about 2pm and the queue was short. We left at about 3.30pm and were surprised with the long queues entering the facility. We bought the sky deck observation tickets and went up to the highest floor. The elevators were a bit confusing. You could mistakenly exit at the wrong floor if somebody had pressed for the elevators at the intermediate floors before you reached the designated level. Up on the sky deck, there were two glass observation deck, I recommend you to check both decks to see which one had a shorter queue. Even though queue numbers were given, the operators on both deck operate differently. One sticked to the queue numbers given, the other allowed patrons to queue on the spot, and then for those who had their numbers missed, they literally let them cut the queue. Each glass deck allowed about 1min for guests to take their photos. They were pretty strict once the minute is up. So, rehearse yourself while queuing to make the best of it. The rest of the deck had good views of the surrounding KL too. It was actually pretty worth it less the heat.

A decent experience.

Better view than petronas Twin Towers for Half the Price. Buy your ticket online at discounted prices. A good one off activity, not such that I would go again

Skedeck experience at kl tower

It must be seen in any case. Expect to wait for a couple of hours to get a chance to take photos in the sky box due to huge queues. Also make sure the day is bright when visiting the tower

Great view over KL at KL tower.

Observation deck gives a great 360 degree view over KL. We went there around 30 mins before sunset, and the views are lovely - lots of people filming and photographing Petronas Tours, which is to be expected. There are self serve kiosks at the entrance to get your tickets; much quicker than queueing for the ticket booth. (60RM per adult = 13+). (Also, you can opt to climb the stairs but I don’t recommend that!)

An evening in the sky

Did the evening tour - great views - Highly recommend it Can get busy so plan your visit. Often lots of coach trips arrive for the evening tours. Don't forget to walk around the gardens as there are some nice shots to take.

Highlight of KL

This is absolutely the best place to admire the skyline of the amazing Kuala Lumpur. You can see the iconic buildings such as Petronas and the picturesque mountain in the distance. I had a blast visiting this place and I would definitely recommend every first-timers to make a visit here!

KL adventure

Amazing experience, weather excellent, slight breeze but what a view. Breakfast of coffee and ice cream at the cafe on the observation deck. Friendly and informative staff

Beautiful View but quiet

We went in the evening. The view is incredible, even though it is basic when you’re up there. 60RM to go up which wasn’t too bad value for money. Other deck was shut (it was raining). Was very dead (few people) up to the tower or up at the top when we went. Worth doing.

Those World Class Views Are Gonna Cost You

Until the Merdeka 118 skydeck opens up I think the Sky Deck at the KL Tower offers the best aerial views of the city. On one skybox you get great views of the Petronas Towers and then the other skybox is located right next to the Merdeka, so you get plenty of opportunities to get some great views and photos of these iconic towers. Admission to the skydeck ($32) is wayyy more expensive than any other observation deck I've come across (including the Marina Bay Sands observation deck). Look, it's a great view at the Sky Deck, but I don't know if I would pay that in retrospect. The observation deck is somewhat more moderately priced ($19) but the interesting thing is they didn't let myself or other Skydeck ticket holders to actually view this section (we technically paid for both the skydeck and observation deck). I don't know if something got lost in translation there or if you only get access to one or the other but it seems odd to include both on the ticketing if you opt for the Skydeck package. Anyway, compared to the ticketing and queuing process at Petronas I would opt for the KL Tower Observation Deck, but probably the lower end package.

Great Views

Although the Patronas Twin Towers are the most famous structural landmark, if you want to get views of the city WITH those iconic towers, this is the place to go. That said, ticket prices for this tower get pretty pricy if you want to do any of the packages. We stuck to the windowed observation area and were very happy with what we could see. The enclosed area was nice but can get pretty crowded. We got there at opening time to try to avoid crowds. The interior of the observation deck has some pretty interesting information about the world's tallest communications towers and puts this one in a global context. Also, there are FREE fixed binoculars. They cost in so many places, I had not anticipated they would be free. Benefit!

Skydeck

We arrived at 10:00 hours and nearly had the Skydeck to ourselves. Great views over the city. We spent some time in the cafe drinking sodas whilst watching the wonderful view. We went down to the Observation Deck later; we think the view from the Skydeck was much better.

Fabulous experience

It was fabulous! Due to time constraint, I check in there at the eleventh hour and yet they let me enter to see the KL tower without any hassle. Thanks to trip advisor .
