This tour involves 4-5 hour hiking in Hakone (about 8-9km) and you need to be fit to complete it. You will traverse the outer rim of Hakone caldera and enjoy lunch and onsen in this experience. The 90-min ascent up to the mountain top has an elevation gain of 500 meter. Then the 2.5 hour ridge walk gives you a panoramic view of Hakone area (. As you walk through the bamboo field, you will hear the birds singing and see sakura in spring, red leaves in autumn and step on the powdered snow in deep winter. After the ridge walk, you will go down the mountain in 30 minutes and reach Sengokuhara. Then lunch at local Japanese restaurant. Onsen follows for relaxation. You will hike past the wood crafting village of Hakone - Hatajuku and we skip the steepest part of the trail by bus and reach a teahouse that has a history of 400 years. After an energising amasake, we will continue our hike to Lake Ashi where if you are lucky, you can have a picture with Mt Fuji and the lake view. The Hakone checkpoint is our last stop where you will understand the significance of Hakone in the history of Japan. At the end of the tour, you can then catch a bus or a ferry (pirate ship) to your next destination at around 1pm.

This tour is a bus tour departing from Kanazawa Station. It will visit Shirakawa-go, a World Heritage Site that is very popular among foreigners, and Hida Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. English-speaking staff will accompany you, so foreigners can participate with peace of mind. The guide will distribute walking maps for each tourist spot on the bus. The guide will provide information on sights and souvenirs in advance, so you can enjoy your stroll efficiently. For lunch, we will have a Japanese set meal full of local cuisine from the Hida region and mountain delicacies. You don't have to worry about meals, so you can stroll at your own pace.
